It indicates a loading zone (and I think the yellow curb is a California thing, not an SF thing), and it was most likely parked legally because loading zones are only in effect at the posted hours, usually some window between 9-5, and it was past 6 pm.

You can park there outside posted loading zone hours. And it’s actually San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency. I think it might be time for you to make a trip in

Well I’m from Hawaii but I just go to Moscone or other random places, I did anyway. I did the warriors graphics a few times at Chase, it’s a pain to drive over to that part of town.

That’s my favorite parking “hack” in San Francisco or any major city. Many people won’t touch them even after-hours.
